Kale Chips

Last week we shared a list of benefits that come from eating  your "greens." Follow this link to revisit the article  here. Try this simple recipe  for a delicious new way to add greens to your diet.

Ingredients

  • 6-8 cups Kale
  • 1-2 TBSP Coconut oil
  • Sea Salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425F.
  2. Rinse kale and pat dry.Remove large stems.
  3. Combine kale and coconut oil in a large mixing bowl.Massage coconut oil into kale, and make sure kale is coated evenly.
  4. Line baking sheet with wax paper or lightly grease. Lay kale in an even layer on baking sheet. Sprinkle with sea salt.
  5. Place in the oven and bake for 12 minutes. Make sure to watch kale because they can burn easily.

You can also use a dehydrator instead of an oven to make kale chips. Prep the kale the same way, but instead of placing the kale chips into the oven place the kale in an even layer directly into a dehydrator.Let the kale chips dehydrate over night.
